esOS combines a small set of components written for esOS with free software from many other projects. Each part keeps its own license; this page lists them all and links to the full texts and the source code.

The source archive contains everything needed to rebuild the GPL- and LGPL-licensed parts of esOS 1.0.

/init and the GNU C Library
/init is statically linked with the GNU C Library (LGPL-2.1-or-later). As section 6 of that license requires, the source of /init and the script that builds it are in the source archive so that it can be relinked with a modified library. You may modify /init for your own use and reverse-engineer it for debugging such modifications.
Build scripts
The esOS scripts that configure, build and install the GPL- and LGPL-licensed components are included as those licenses require. You may use, modify and run them to rebuild and modify those components.
Encryption Studio X and .NET
esx is compiled with the .NET NativeAOT runtime, which is MIT-licensed. Its license and third-party notices are listed above under dotnet-runtime.
